Tuition for your First Dance
We offer private tuition to suit whatever you have in mind for your first dance.
Typically we would suggest:
1 lesson = Basic and repeatable ballroom or latin style dance to the song of your choice. (For example Waltz or Foxtrot)
2-3 lessons = Basic repeatable routine to include some additional figures or personalised choreography.
4+ lessons = A fully choreographed routine to the song of your choice.
Of course, this all depends on your experience and the song you have in mind so please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Unlike many providers, we don’t increase the price for wedding lessons. So, wedding lessons are charged at the same rate as our standard private lessons: £40 per hour.
Things to consider...
What song would you like?
Will it be a recording or live version?
How much space will you have on the day?
How do you want to get on to and off the floor?
How long do you want to dance for? (Do you want friends & family to join you on the floor at a point?)
What do you want the dance to look like? (Understated, funny, show piece, simple etc)
Can you move in your dress/suit/shoes?
Gifts and Group Sessions
As well as your first dance as a couple, you may wish to include your parents, bridesmaids or ushers and best man. This is particularly popular for couples having a themed wedding or a particular band (i.e. swing or big band) so that guests feel more comfortable getting up to dance.
Some people like to have a lesson with whoever is giving them away so they can dance with them as well as their new spouse.
Even, buying a gift voucher for parents of the couple to enjoy afterwards.
